Thanks to my good friend mahmoud chouki for including me in the 2018 installation of the long running series ,”Orient/Occident” or “East meets West.”

It’s a week-long festival that takes place in Switzerland at Chateau Mercier, right in the heart of the swiss alps. The festival is comprised of different presentations of art, philosophy, history, and politics from presenters from every part of the world, hence '“East meets West.”

I will be apart of a fantastic group of musicians performing for the festival’s Zenith, A wonderful performance on that Saturday evening comprised of pieces of music from each respective musician. It’s done in hopes of seeing just a glimpse of what the world is capable of when we bring our individual ideas together and work towards a common goal, A goal that seems all too important in our time.

Joining me is quite a cast of musicians:

Mahmoud Chouki (Leader/Strings, Morocco)

Ismail Altunbas (Percussion, Turkey)

Martin Masakowski (Upright Bass, New Orleans, Usa/Germany)

Rhys Sebastion (Tenor Saxophone, India)

Peter Ralchev (Accordion, Bulgaria)
