Here We Go!

My debut record as a leader, “Journey to Elan” Is on the horizon!

I’m so excited to release this project and sound that I’ve had in my head for years now. Trying to dig into one’s own imagination is never a simple task for anyone, but with support from a great band, as well as from friends and loved ones, I’m able to debut an album of my very own work!

“Journey to Elan” comes from a place of mixing my past experiences, both on the band stand and off, with the my own imaginings of space, wonder, and discovery. Such a composite is always scary to attempt to translate to the ears, but I have every bit of confidence that I’ve dug into a personal place and come up with something that’s both fresh for the listener, and very genuinely me.

I very much hope that this art does all the things that Music can do.

I hope it makes the listener imagine something far off and beautiful.

I hope it makes the listener feel something in their own spirit.

I hope it makes the listener dance with joy.

I hope the listener has a melody to hum while they clean, or drive on their commute, or walk down the street.

All in all, I hope “Journey to Elan” can be another of the things that makes being alive and present in time and space just a little nicer.

If one of the songs saves the world, that would be awesome!

but…

I’ll settle for giving some folks a good time for a while.
